911 Butter
For the days when skin needs more protection than your everyday butter provides. 911 Butter is a rich zinc oxide botanical butter created for occasional use on delicate, moisture-prone and friction-prone areas. Thick in the tin, it melts into a smooth, silky protective layer with very little product.

Why We Made It
Most days, skin does not need much.
A little moisture. A little protection. Something simple enough to use without thinking too hard about it.
And then there are the other days.
Teething begins. A new food is introduced. Heat, dampness, friction or a long stretch in a diaper leaves the skin looking redder and more vulnerable than usual. The everyday butter that has been doing its job suddenly does not feel like quite enough.
That is what 911 Butter was made for.
It is richer and more protective than the butters I formulate for daily care, with zinc oxide added to create a soft physical barrier over the skin. Calendula, aloe, marshmallow root and amla are folded into the botanical base, while cocoa butter and plant oils keep the formula smooth enough to spread in a very thin layer.
It looks thick in the tin because it is meant to stay where you put it. But you do not need much. A small amount melts across the skin and leaves behind a silky protective layer for the places that are dealing with more moisture, friction or exposure than usual.
Do not think of 911 Butter as everyday skincare. It is the tin I want a mother to have nearby for the days when the skin is asking for a little more protection.

- THE DETAILS
First Touch, Butter in Pink and Butter in Blue are made for regular skin care. 911 Butter has a different job. The addition of zinc oxide gives it a more protective finish, so I reach for it when moisture, friction or repeated wiping has left an area needing more between the skin and whatever is touching it. Once that extra protection is no longer needed, you can return to your usual daily butter.
The diaper area is one of the places where it is most useful because moisture and friction often happen together there. But the same kind of contact can happen in skin folds, along areas where clothing rubs, or anywhere intact skin is dealing with more moisture or friction than usual. Apply it only where you need the extra protective layer.
Very little. 911 Butter is deliberately thick and concentrated in the tin, but it spreads easily once it meets warm skin. Start with a small amount and smooth it into a thin, even layer. More product does not necessarily mean more protection. The goal is simply to leave a light barrier over the skin.
