Why We Made It
A light, concentrated facial oil serum with jojoba, hemp, squalane and argan oils, for skin that moves between dryness and oiliness. Scented with rose otto, neroli, jasmine and vanilla.
Balancing Rose Ritual Serum was created for the seasons when your skin is changing and you want your skincare to feel like a return to yourself.
Jojoba, hemp, meadowfoam, squalane, apricot, argan and camellia oils create a light, concentrated base that softens and conditions the skin without making facial care feel heavy. The formula is especially lovely when skin seems to move between dryness and oiliness, or simply looks tired and wants more softness and radiance.
Then comes the part that makes Rose different.
Rose otto, neroli, rose geranium, clary sage, jasmine, ylang ylang and vanilla create a full floral aroma that feels soft, warm and enveloping. This is not the serum I made for days when you want very little scent. Rose is for the moments when you want beauty itself to be part of the experience.
Motherhood can ask you to spend so much time responding outward. Feeding, carrying, listening, watching, remembering. I wanted this ritual to turn some of that attention back toward your own face and body for a few minutes.
This is part of the neurosomatic thinking behind Royal Heir skincare. Texture, touch, scent and repetition are considered together. With repeated use, the floral aroma can become an aromatic anchor connected to slowing down, softening and returning some attention to yourself.
Made fresh in small batches and formulated by a former nurse and certified aromatherapist.
More about this formula
- THE DETAILS
It does not mean the serum changes or balances your hormones. Rose was created for skin that does not always behave the same way from one week or season to the next. The botanical oils give changing skin moisture and softness without making the formula feel overly heavy. There is another kind of balance in the ritual too. So much of motherhood asks your attention to move outward. Rose gives some of that attention back to your own face, your own senses and your own experience for a few minutes.
Both are aromatic botanical serums, but they feel very different. Rejuvenating is warmer and brighter, with sandalwood, sweet orange, vanilla and spice. I think of it as the serum for renewal and a little more energy in the ritual. Rose is softer, fuller and more floral. Rose otto, neroli, jasmine, rose geranium and ylang ylang create an enveloping aroma that makes the ritual feel slower and more inward. Rejuvenating brings a little brightness back. Rose invites softness and beauty.
Because the experience begins before the serum touches your skin. The velvet gives your hands a soft tactile cue as you reach for the bottle. The flowers and gold bring beauty and movement to what you see. Then comes the silky feeling of the serum and, finally, the floral aroma as you apply it. None of these details are there because they make the serum “work harder.” They are there because touch, beauty, texture and scent can all be part of the same ritual. With repetition, those sensory layers become familiar. The velvet, the bottle, the flowers, the oil and the scent begin to belong to the same moment of returning some attention to yourself.
