Why We Made It

A floral bath soak with mineral salts, pink clay, rose petals and neroli, for a warm, fragrant bath for the mother.

Rose Ritual Soak was created for the moments when you want care to feel beautiful, not simply useful.

Mineral salts, pink clay and meadowfoam oil are joined by rose powder, rose petals and neroli blossoms in a concentrated botanical bath that leaves the skin feeling soft and cared for. The water takes on the colour, movement and faint aroma of the botanicals, making the experience feel different before you have done anything except step into it.

That beauty is intentional.

Motherhood can make the body enormously functional. It feeds, carries, lifts, cleans, remembers and responds. I wanted Rose Ritual Soak to create a different kind of moment, one where the body does not need to accomplish anything.

Warm water surrounds you. Rose petals move across the surface. The floral scent rises gently with the steam. For a little while, care is coming toward you.

This is part of the neurosomatic thinking behind Royal Heir skincare. Warmth, movement, scent, visual beauty and repetition are considered together. With time, the bath can become a familiar sensory cue connected to softening, pleasure and returning some attention to yourself.

Made fresh in small batches and formulated by a former nurse and certified aromatherapist.

More about this formula

  • THE DETAILS
1
Ingredients

Sodium Chloride (Himalayan Salt), Magnesium Sulphate (Epsom Salt), Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda), Montmorillonite (Pink French Clay), Buttermilk Powder, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Red Beet Powder, Rose Botanical extract, Magnolia Botanical Extract, Passion Flower Botanical Extract, Ascorbic Acid, Rose Petals, Neroli/Orange Flower Petals, Blend of Essential Oils, Neroli Fragrance Oil.

2
Turn It Into a Ritual

Add the soak to comfortably warm bathwater and allow it to disperse before you step in.

Then leave some of the work to the water.

Notice the warmth around your body, the movement against your skin, the petals floating nearby and the soft floral scent as it rises. There is nothing else you need to make happen.

Rose Ritual Soak is especially beautiful in the evening, when much of your attention has already been given away. Let the bath become a small transition between everything the day required of you and the part of the evening that belongs to you again.

With repeated use, the rose and neroli aroma can become an aromatic anchor for this particular ritual, familiar alongside the warmth of the water and the sight of the petals.

After bathing, gently pat the skin dry and follow with a body butter while the skin is still slightly damp if you want to hold onto more moisture.

A little goes a long way. Always patch test before first use.

3
Why rose and neroli?

I chose rose and neroli because together they create a floral experience that feels soft, warm and full without becoming sharp or overly perfumed. The scent is meant to rise gently from the warm bath and become part of the ritual rather than sit heavily on the skin afterward. With repetition, that familiar floral aroma can become an aromatic anchor connected to a slower, softer moment of body care.

4
How is Rose Ritual Soak different from Calendula + Chamomile?

Both use warm water and botanicals as part of the sensory ritual, but they feel quite different. Calendula + Chamomile is about warmth and receiving. It is quieter and rooted in simple botanical care. Rose is more sensual and more visually beautiful. The petals, colour and floral aroma are deliberately part of the experience. I reach for it when I want the bath to feel less like maintenance and more like a return to pleasure and softness.

5
Why do the petals and colour matter?

Because the body experiences more than ingredients. The sight of petals moving in the water, the warmth against the skin, the scent rising with the steam and the feeling of being surrounded by water all arrive through different senses. None of those details need to make the formula “work harder.” They are there because beauty itself can change the feeling of an ordinary moment. That is part of the idea behind neurosomatic skincare. The experience begins before the ingredients have even touched the skin.
