Two People Have Arrived Here

When a baby comes home, attention gathers around them almost immediately. People want to see the tiny face, hold the small body, ask how feeding is going, bring something useful, admire how much has already changed.

The mother has arrived somewhere new too.

She comes home carrying the physical memory of pregnancy and birth while beginning the round-the-clock work of caring for another person. Familiar rooms can feel different. Her own body can feel different. The days may already be moving according to someone else’s hunger, sleep, warmth and need for closeness.

The Welcome Home was created with both of them in mind.

First Touch is there for the baby, bringing vernix-inspired protection with no added fragrance to newborn skin from birth. Tender Skin Serum is there for her face, giving her a quiet moment of softness without adding more scent to an already full sensory world. Calendula + Chamomile Botanical Soak is there for her body, whether that becomes a full bath, a sitz bath or warm water around her feet.

These pieces do not need to become one shared routine.

They simply make room for care to move in both directions from the beginning. The baby is tended to. The mother is tended to. And in the first days at home, that distinction matters.

Two People Have Arrived Here

Inside the Ritual

First Touch Butter

FOR NEWBORN SKIN FROM BIRTH

First Touch Butter

A water-free botanical butter with no added fragrance, created for newborn skin. First Touch was formulated as the next best thing to vernix once baby has moved from the protected environment of the womb into dry air.

Applied in a thin layer, it melts against the skin and leaves behind a rich emollient layer that helps hold moisture at the surface without adding fragrance or essential oils.

About this formula
Tender Skin Serum

FOR QUIET FACIAL CARE

Tender Skin Serum

A fragrance-free, essential-oil-free facial serum made for dry, sensitive and easily reactive skin.

For the mother, its role is simple: soft, concentrated facial care without adding another strong scent to the day. The botanical oils leave the skin nourished and comfortable while keeping the sensory experience quiet.

About this formula
Calendula + Chamomile Botanical Soak

FOR WARMTH + RECEIVING

Calendula + Chamomile Botanical Soak

A botanical bath soak created for the mother, with calendula, chamomile and mineral salts.

It can be used as a full bath, sitz bath or foot soak, depending on what fits the day. Its place in The Welcome Home is not to create another routine, but to give her a way to receive warmth and care in a form that can adapt to the earliest postpartum weeks.

About this formula

How the Care Meets Them at Home

The Welcome Home ritual is meant to be experienced, not simply unpacked.
It begins with the baby, because that is where so much attention naturally goes in the first days. Then, slowly, the care turns back toward the mother too.
The steps below are written for her, so you can see what this gift is actually inviting her into.

Step 1

Welcome to the World Baby!

Use First Touch during a diaper change, after bathing, or whenever your baby’s skin needs a little more moisture and protection. Apply a small amount directly to the skin and let it melt as your hands move over the body. The formula is concentrated, so a thin layer is enough.

Step 2

Learn Each Other Through Touch

The first baths can feel a little awkward because your baby is still so tiny and you are both learning. Let that be part of it. Hold them close, support them well, and use the warm water as a place to get to know this little body you carried without ever seeing.

Notice the folds at the neck, the curve of the back, the little feet that once pressed against you from the inside. Your hands become more confident each time they return, and your baby begins to learn the particular way you hold, wash and comfort them.

Step 3

Let Your Voice Stay With Them

Your baby has been listening to you for months. Keep talking while you bathe them. Say their name, tell them what you are doing, hum the song that you love.

The water is new. The room is new. Even being held this way is new. Your voice is not. Neither is the warmth of your hands or the scent of your skin. There is no need to add much more. These familiar things already tell your baby so much about where they are and who they are with.

Step 4

Carry the Warmth Beyond the Bath

When you lift your baby from the water, wrap them close and dry their skin gently. Apply First Touch while the skin is still slightly damp and let the butter melt as your hands move slowly over the legs, belly, back and arms.

First Touch butter is the next best thing of vernix for life outside of the womb. It leaves a silky layer over the skin without adding essential oils or fragrance, so the scent closest to your baby is still yours.

Let the massage last a little longer than it needs to. Look at the little face in front of you. Talk to them. Enjoy the weight of them beneath your hands. This is skincare, but it is also one more way of saying, I am here. You are cared for. You are home.

Newborn baby floating peacefully in a warm herbal bath, supported by a parent’s hands. A calming postpartum ritual that nurtures the baby’s delicate skin and promotes bonding. Ideal for content on newborn skincare, natural baby baths, and holistic postpartum care.

What Makes a Place Feel Like Home

For a newborn, home is not a room yet. It is warmth, a familiar voice, the scent of the person who carried them, the feeling of being held, and hands that keep returning in ways they begin to recognize.

That is what this ritual carries forward from the womb into the first days together. Warm water surrounds the body again. Mother’s voice stays close. First Touch adds protection without covering her familiar scent, and slow touch gives both of them time to learn each other on the outside.

For the mother, those same moments are building something too. Every bath, every massage, every time she learns one more little fold or expression, her hands become surer.

That is what makes Welcome Home more than a collection of skincare. It gives them a few simple ways to build familiarity, confidence and connection while home is becoming something entirely new for both of them.

Architecture of Grace™

The Welcome Home is Architecture of Grace™ in the way care is arranged from the beginning.

The baby has what belongs to the baby. The mother has what belongs to her. Neither disappears inside the needs of the other.

That structure matters because early motherhood is already full of movement between bodies, needs and attention. First Touch brings simple protection to the baby’s skin. Tender Skin gives the mother a quiet moment of care for her own face. Calendula + Chamomile gives her warmth in a form she can receive rather than provide.

Nothing here asks them to follow one perfect routine together. The grace is in having the right care already present, so both can be tended to as the first days at home begin to take shape.

New mother enjoying cuddles with her new baby.

What You’re Welcoming

A new baby rarely arrives without gifts, but this one notices the woman who arrived with them too. You are choosing something for the baby’s skin, but you are also giving the mother something that belongs entirely to her: quiet facial care, warm botanical water, and a few moments in which care moves toward her instead of away from her.

The Welcome Home is not about making a larger gift by adding more products. It is about recognizing that birth brings two people into a new relationship, and that both of them are worthy of being tended to in those first days at home.

That is what makes this gift different. You came to welcome the baby, and you remembered the mother.

A welcome for the baby, with care for the woman who brought them here.

Optional gift presentation and a handwritten note on a card can be added in your cart.

2 Is this mainly a baby gift or a gift for the mother too?

It is intentionally for both.

The baby receives First Touch. The mother receives Tender Skin and Calendula + Chamomile. None of her products need to be shared with the baby.

That is part of the meaning of the gift. You are welcoming the newborn while also recognizing that the mother has entered a new season of her own and may need care that belongs entirely to her.

3 Is everything in The Welcome Home suitable from birth?

First Touch is created for newborn skin from birth.

Tender Skin Serum and the Calendula + Chamomile Botanical Soak are for the mother. They are not included as newborn products, so the gift does not rely on treating every item in the box as something the baby can use.

Each piece has a clear recipient from the beginning.

4 Does the mother need to use the products in a particular order?

No. The Welcome Home is not a three-step routine.

First Touch can be used for the baby whenever it fits naturally into bathing, dressing or diaper changes. Tender Skin can be used whenever the mother wants a few moments of facial care. Calendula + Chamomile can become a full bath, sitz bath or foot soak depending on the day.

The value of the gift is having appropriate care already waiting for both of them, not completing everything together.

5 What makes this different from The First 40 Days Ritual?

The Welcome Home is a simpler birth gift for both mother and newborn.

The First 40 Days Ritual is a more complete early-postpartum ritual, built around a longer period of care and more pieces for the first six weeks.

The Welcome Home says, I thought of both of you when you came home. The First 40 Days Ritual goes further into tending the mother through that whole early season.

The Beginning of Being Cared For Together

Coming home is only the beginning of learning what care will look like now.

The baby will grow quickly. The mother’s body will keep changing. What feels useful in the first days may look different a few weeks later, and different again a few months after that.

The Welcome Home gives both of them something appropriate for the beginning, while The First Year of Motherhood™ continues that same idea over time: care that changes as their needs change, without losing sight of either person.

The first days are about arrival. What follows is the slow making of a life together.
